Things to Do in the Area
There are lots of walks direct from the doorstep so a car is not essential. These vary from short walks lasting an hour or so up to full day adventures. We have lots of maps and guidebooks you can borrow as well as personal recommendations.
Cycling is one of our main pastimes - both road and mountain biking. Again, we can offer advice on routes to get you off the beaten track and see what this beautiful area has to offer. We also offer bike storage and bike wash facilities
For the adrenaline junkies there are plenty of attractions and activities to get the heart racing. Within walking distance is Zipworld Fforest Coaster - a toboggan ride through the forest. A short drive takes you to Penmachno the home of Go Below with a range of trips involving mine exploration, abseiling, traverses and a leap of faith. This is a great way to avoid those rainy days. At Penryn Quarry there is Zipworld Karts and the famous Velocity zip line
